COMPOSITION

The plot is located in kreuzberg, a district that qualifies itself by its relationship between a strong cultural identity and a historical past. It welcomes marginal people, families, artists...and creates a dynamic and alternative community in the heart of Berlin.

The project reinterprets the traditional Berlin Mietkaserne in a contemporary way through this idea of permeability in the building and the neighbourhood in the district.  The public space is revitalized by functions making the project lively and in agreement with the city such as cafeteria, youth hostel, workshops, polyavalent room etc..

The composition is made of flexible volumes, free but which answer contextual criteria such as the central space of representation in the heart of the project. In front of the emblematic wall tagged the building life marry the rigid lines of the context by wtih voluptuousness.

The implementation of the module creates a unique student community cohabiting with families and temporary residents.

The ambition is to propose another form of "living together".
